Ultra Squared.....crazy

**Running with a purpose. **
Today through Saturday, Boulder ultra-marathoner Will Laughlin will take on — solo — the Wild West Relay, a 200-mile run from Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs. Yes, you read that correctly: 200 miles, through mountain steeps. Generally, in the Wild West ultra-marathon, teams of 6-12 people will run in rotation.
And average ultras measure 100 miles; longer ones, like the Badlands 135 or the Gobi March 250K, are run in stages over a week, not a few days, like the Wild West.
Laughlin is running to raise funds for Daraja Academy, a girls school serving the poorest communities of Kenya, including the Kibera slums of Nairobi. To keep up with Laughlin’s blog, go to ultrawill.squarespace.com/journal.
