Ultegra or Sram R-9 cassette?

I need a cassette to go on my new Renn disc. I plan to use a Sram PC-89 hollowpin chain and a Ulltegra rear derailleur. Which cassette should I get, Ultegra or Sram R-9?

Thanks,

Dave from VA

Either. They equally fine. As long as the chain is 9sp compatible, you’ll be fine.

I’ve used the SRAM and like it very much. In fact I won’t pay for another DA cassette as one can get the SRAM for $35 from ebay, 6 bucks shipping. Best buy on a cassette that I’m aware of.

I’ve used Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105 and Sram. I sure can’t tell the difference.

Just got a R9 and have only used it for about 30 miles but I can’t tell any difference between it and the Ultegra I was using before.

You can get ultegra cassettes from pricepoint.com for $35 and avoid the ebay hassles…and be sure it is new.

I use www.bestbikebuys.com and get whatever is cheapest. I’ve tried 3 different brands and cannot tell the difference between any of them.

BTW, new Ultegra 9 speed is $38 on performancebike.com
