the Tour this year
.
God, I hope so…
Armstrong
Ullrich
Armstrong
Ullrich
Tastes great
Less filling
Hmmm…lets just hope for an EPIC battle…one where even the strong teams these two have are left in the dust as they settle this one out man-to-man…lets see them drop EVERYONE…Mayo, Basso, Simoni, Rassmussen…anyone with even a prayer of climbing the mountains with them… Just Armstrong and Ullrich…duking it out…stage-after-stage-after-stage-after-stage-after-stage…hell…lets see them contest the sprints for precious seconds…
Lets see them out-cannibal the Cannibal in order to win… no cracking…no whining…no looks…no crashing…no waiting…no teams…no NOTHING…just f’in ride into the dirt…
One of them win…and both retire because the’ve spent their last ounce of competitiveness…
My prediction - Lance will not win. But I have no idea who will. Maybe Ullrich!
Both got rid off their girls, so they are definitely training.
And Ullrich is not gonna win, Lance will have a #7!!!
I think this year will truly be the changing of the guard. All the old/tired guys (Armstrong, Ullrich, et al.) will fade to the next generation (i.e., Landis, Basso, Rogers, and in the not too distant future: Zabriske).
Jack
If Lance wins , he will have to go again . What would you write in the history book " Lance got bored of winning and went home "
That would be right. Then as previously posted, he and Armstrong can retire and make way for the younger riders. I hope it will be a nailbiter (close race) too.
What about the other jerseys? Next month we should set up a pool - but to make it interesting, we need prizes Maybe we could get 4 jerseys (yellow, green, white and good ole polkadots), and the winners of the pool get a jersey…? Just an idea.
I’ll like to see Armstrong retire at the top. We have not been subjected to the amount of hype that you guys will have had stateside, so I still would like to see him win and then go rather than fade away. My personal opinion is that his pride would not allow Ulrich to win, but if someone else were leading on the last day in the mountains they could win.
If Armstrong has his usual level of fitness, then I think it’s his Tour to lose. When you look at the course profile, there just aren’t enough uphill finishes in the mountains for rivals to take turns putting pressure on him, day after day, so as to make him crack.
Fur Ullrich to win, he’s got to beat Armstrong in the mountains, and take time out of him on uphill finishes. There’ll have to be a big difference in fitness levels over previous years for that to happen.
I think it’s either Armstrong, or an unexpected choice. Not Ullrich.
armstrong’s form doesn’t seem to be as solid as in the past at this point in time, BUT looking at recent results/on going races, he’s going to have an hellacious team around him…discovery is looking very, very tough.
Is Ullrich a Mr. Fatso again this year?
New here. Hello everyone.
I do hope he will win this year.
I also love their T-Mobile time trial bike that they are selling this year.
Is Ullrich a Mr. Fatso again this year?
According to most accounts he is looking good. The pics I have seem to indicate skinfolds of far less thickness than recent years, though I think his genes prevent him from ever looking that ripped.
Is there something about freckles that is linked with more subcutaneous fat storage? Seems to be linked quite often.
you said that last year too
.
Not a chance. He’s not right in the noggin.
though I think his genes prevent him from ever looking that ripped.
Oh. Its a genetic problem. I am sorry. I have made fun of some one with a genetic disability. I am embarrassed. Well, anyway, good luck to Mr. Fatso and I hope he gets that number two slot he goes for every year.
Maybe he should enter in the Clydesdale Division.
I’d go with that. If armstrong is now single at least he’ll be more focused. Nothing like the lack of a good woman to sharpen up your race mentailty…
Here you go, this from some race in April. He’s lost quite some weight since then
Ullrich can’t defeat Armstrong. Armstrong has defeated Ullrich at every turn. Jan won’t, and can’t, do it. I hold your thoughts and opinions in very high regard, but, my diminutive French friend, I fear that this time your prediction may be more wishful thinking than anything else.
