As Chris Boardman said during the TDF commentry what we really need is a proper explanation of why the tests were missed. Of course a simalar situation occured with Tim Don, but at least he gave an explaination of what happened in each of the missed tests. This other alligation has just muded the water further - I just hope we don’t get another situation where we have to wait for a court case to find out who won the Tour!

During todays UK highlight coverage they seem to think it has made for a rather sour atmosphere. It sound as if the Velonews alligations have been known by some for quite a while.
Its a real shame a shadow has been cast again as the racing this year has been electric. I do wonder if there may now be a real battle for 2nd - with the thinking being that it may yet become 1st?
