UCI Regulations on Bikes About to Drastically Change

This is great news. Down with weight limits, use strength tests. Down with 3:1, get the public excited about the technology. What about the Pro Tour teams with smaller budgets? My sympathy for them is similar to the F1 race car drivers with smaller budgets. With bike manufacturers now standing in as primary sponsors for Pro Tour teams, limiting the bikes they display at Pro Tour races to bikes inferior to these companies own top models (Cannondale Black Inc, Cervelo Rca - besides Ryder the doper whose bike was still 14.8lb); imagine being able to purchase a car that exceeds the technology used in an F1 race car? Pro Tour equipment should be at the pinnacle of bicycle technology. This is exciting.

…or, perhaps not.

I’d settle for just logically written and enforced rules to start…

well, that’s going too far. 50cm bikes should have the nose of the saddle the same distance behind the bottom bracket as a 61cm frame and your saddle should always be perfectly level…
