Typical Age Grouper Weekend?

This is how my weekend went, was wondering if this looks like other age groupers out there?

Friday morning - met up with my running buddy at 5:30 and ran 16 miles before work (this way my long run is out of the way and I can do things around the house)

Saturday - Wake up and take care of my son while my wife gets in her hour to 2 hours of workout time (non-tri chick) more like a gym rat chick. Run to Home Depot for the much needed yard supplies. pretty much do yard work all day…mow the lawn, turn on sprinkler system, finish landscaping, wash the cars…ect.

Saturday night - get a babysitter and go out to for a much deserved meal alone with my wife.

Sunday - Up at 6, eat, get bike ready then out the door at 8, put in 80 miles on the bike, back at the house at noon…eat a power lunch, then off to the store for pool supplies. Open my pool, which just looks nasty and smells even worse…work on that the remander of the day. take my son to the park so he can get his much needed play time. Back to the house, put my son to bed, and then sit outside and eat a nice meal with a glass of wine with my wife. get ready for work and then nighty night.

What about you guys, does this look like your weekends?

I pretty much have one day a weekend to train, and that is Saturday. I reserve that day for long bricks. I usually get up around 6 or 6:30, then head out on the bike around 7:00. I ride for 3-4 hours, then run about 5 miles. Sunday, I usually get in a swim in the lake near the house. Friday is a run of some kind, maybe with an a.m. swim before work. I like to be around the house on Sunday. We go to church, eat with my in-laws, then rest. After a nap, I might slip off to the lake for the aforementioned swim.

Lately, I’ve been working quite a bit on Saturdays. I don’t get overtime with my job – strictly comp time. Which works out well. I don’t get fussed at for working on Saturdays, and I get comp time to do my long workouts during the week. That has actually been a pretty good schedule for me: long ride/brick Tuesday or Thursday, long run Saturday after I get off work, long swim Sunday afternoon.

I’ve got a couple of half IM’s coming up (two in three weeks, with the first one this weekend). After that, it will be sprints and Oly distance races for the rest of the year, so I won’t be doing workouts that are quite as long.
