Last week I posted blazing criticism of the Texas Tri Mania staff. Yesterday I recieved a card apologizing for having to cancel the event. They then offered $15 discount on next year’s race. The card was signed by all four RD’s in ink. While I may not be here at this time next year I am satisfied by their effort and all is forgiven. My apologies to the staff for getting all amped out before finding out their intentions. IMHO they did the right thing and provided the right amount of relief seeing how they had expenses to pay before hand.
I was there as well. I too was pretty pissed that they did not offer anything in return, until I got the card for next year. As a former race director, they did do the right thing. I figured they would have canceleled it sooner knowing that there was quite a bit of lightning in the area while many of us were warming up in the lake.
