Who all here has a twitter account?

I recently started one for my guerrilla marketing firm.

I do. It’s pretty dumb except for Lance’s updates.

If you actually believe that Lance updates all these updates personally.

I already spend too much time on Facebook. I’m afraid of what Twitter will do to my non-virtual life.

I like Twitter. Doesn’t take any time, don’t get sucked in like facebook. It’s really good for play by play updates on races. I also like that I can follow specific musicians (Pete Yorn, for example) and get pointed to new releases or rare tracks.

I believe EVERYTHING Lance says and does.

I love seeing his Tweets about picking up his kids from school.

What is your ID? I need to know what you are doing on an hourly basis.

I just caved and got one. My handle is my same username as here.

you are not showing up yet.

Fascinating as my life is, I don’t really tweet very often. I read more than write.

I have my doubts about twitter. For the vast majority of people and companies it’s mighty presumptive to think that anyone gives a shit about you enough to follow your every move. Facebook, Myspace, and the typical blog all do a more than sufficient job at providing me all the information I need on anyone I care about. Maybe I just don’t “get it” yet.

I should be there now.

You can setup Twitter/Facebook so that when you twitter, your Facebook page updates automatically.

And the same thing is true for your blog.

I’ve often wondered this about the whole “Blog” thing in general. Who on earth wants to read what I did today? Anyone that would care I actually talk to on a daily basis. Combine this with the fact that I’m pretty much and introvert and the whole “Blog” thing leaves me entirely beffuddled.

As a business tool I think it would actually be detrimental. “Blog” does not equal “Professional” in my mind unless you’re in journalism.
