We have a long way to go to catch up to Lance!
I am curious if there is something going on behind the scenes with this . . . perhaps some guerilla marketing(!!! - are you in on this??) - that new Twitter subscribers somehow automatically become followers of certain Twitter posters. I say this for two reasons - first I don’t ever recall ageeing to be Lance Follower( although I enjoy being one) and second, his Follower list just exploded in the last 2 months - it went from 30,000-odd to nearly 400,000 in a very short period of time. I find it hard to believe that organically it could grow that fast.
BTW - I am up to 76 this morning. I am gaining on you!!
Fleck. to get followers you really need to follow a lot of people. From what I gather it is turning into somthing like facebook where people compete for the most. They just follow as many people as possible and in return those people follow them. At this point I kind of regret following as many as I do, because it is hard to sift through the tweets. I imagine a cull is in order soon.

Maybe. But I note that some people with huge followers - and Lance is a good example of this - have a a small and short list of friends that they follow, so the math and your explanation don’t really add up:

Maybe that might be lmore accurately stated as “Unless you are a huge celebrity, the easiest way to get lots of followers is to follow lots of people”. Armstrong doesn’t need to turn on “auto-follow” to get lots of followers. But (and I say this with all respect, as someone who likes both you and Herbert a lot) you and Herbert are not Lance Armstrong

You should only follow people you are truly interested in. It is tough to follow more than 50 or so people or companies/news sources. Most anyone who follows several hundred only does it to get followers, and these followers don’t really follow.

I don’t know - I thought Herbert would be right up there. He’s hob-nobbing and rubbing shoulders with the fast and the famous all the time!!
