TV you're PROUD to admit you watch

After all, we shouldn’t be wasting time in front of the boob tube, right?

Well, I’m proud to admit that I spend time watching Battlestar Galactica, any cycling on Versus, Ironman reruns and Lakers games.

The Wire (when it was on, still watch the DVDs)

The Office
.

This thread doesn’t seem to be as popular as the “what are you embarassed to watch” one.

Nova and Californication.

Not proud proud, I guess the wording should be “TV you’re NOT Embarrased to admit you watch”.
-Battlestar Galactica
-Football (soccer)
When I was a kid I really loved watching “Cosmos”.

Nova. Greatest show on TV.

Top Gear. Just more fun then American shit.

That’s all. Everything else sucks.

I’m proud to admit that I don’t own a TV.

The only time I get to watch it is when I’m in a hotel. I must say I did enjoy Cash Cab at the beautiful Holiday Inn Express in Pullman, WA last week

Dog the Bounty Hunter
.

24
The O’Reilly Factor
Internet Porn
World Series of Poker
The First 48
Center Ice NHL package (used for the New York Rangers)

All (except porn) watched while on trainer, otherwise too busy for TV.

I might include most of these on the embarrassed to watch list too!

I like How It’s Made and Survivorman
.

Nova
Frontline
The Wire

This is pretty much all I watch anyway, besides CSI, jeopardy and 1 pro football game a week.

I’m proud to admit that I don’t own a TV.

I don’t either. However I DLed all the Terminator episodes and loved them. I also get Bill Maher when he’s on.

I netflix and watch them on my laptop. I get Lost and old TDF dvd’s for trainer sessions. I’m at stage 5 of the 2005 TDF, I wonder who will win…

Never miss Nova. How it’s made, Final Report, Battlefield Britain, Engineering an Empire, and Industrial Revelations get a big plus for me.

Last weekend I watched “One Man’s Wilderness.” on our local pbs station. This is my best example of Must See TV.

In 1968 a 51-year old guy went up to a remote lake in Alaska and built his own cabin, and lived there for over 30 years. What makes this so fascinating, to me at least, is that he documented it all with his own video camera. Even the old-style camera gives it a cool vintage feel.

The dude had skills.

I guess I’ve always been a Mountain Man Wannabe, but both my son & I loved it so much I ordered the dvd and book off of ebay.

Just discovered Boston Legal…not sure how we missed it after all these years, but it’s one of the most entertaining shows I’ve seen in years!

Denny Crane…!!!

Yes, that was a great show.

I also ordered the dvd - actually two - one for my Dad as a gift.

What a craftsman that guy was.

I did a little research and found a review of his book, and found this quote. Sounds like a cross between Thoreau and Hemingway:

“After a supper of navy beans, I sat on my threshold and gazed off toward the volcanic mountains. I had been close to them today. The Chilikadrotna River showed me the beautiful fish and I returned them to her. I thought of the sights I had seen. The price was physical toll. Money does little good back here. It could not buy the fit feeling that surged through my arms and shoulders. It could not buy the feeling of accomplishment. I had been my own tour guide and my power had been my transportation. This great big country was my playground, and I could afford the price it demanded.”
