Turkeyman results thread (closed)

ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, GO!

Just a reminder i need gender and total time MINUS transitions. You are allowed an hour apiece for T1 and T2

This years divisions are mens du, mens tri, women du, womens tri. So all ages may remain secret.

Good luck

I’m the first to finish but I have to disqualify myself; I swam last night.

Swim in pool: 9:12

Bike on CT: 36:00

Run, 5K race: 21:40

Total: 1:06:52

I just got home from the run. Felt great to run under control at 7 minute pace.

So that makes me first but DQ’ed, Happy Thanksgiving to all

Mine is schedule for sathurday.

Hey Jim,

I’m throwing my hat into the men’s tri division ring with:

swim 8:19

bike 35:08

run (where the turkeys come home to roost) 24:27

total (check my math) 1:07:54

thanks for doing this, it’s the only time i really get the motivation to do a swim-bike brick.

Andrew Moss

thanks jim…it was a nice way to spend a saturday afternoon, and work off some of that yummy pumkin pie

I wasn’t able to complete the triathlon. I had a problem with my rear wheel and T2 was waaaaaay over 1h. :frowning:

Sedi got scared and I had a “bad” day.

Ahh, I bailed. Did a nice 2-hour ride in our first “cold snap” of the season (low 50s at 10 am) with a few short intervals in it…but couldn’t muster up the energy to do much else…so I guess I’m a “DNS”…

gonna be a short field

Just found out about this today from apmoss…thanks for the brick! I wish I would have known before I threw down that huge plate of leftovers…ah well, there’s always next year.

My time: 1:11:30

The wife: 1:14:21

Thursday, THanksgiving morning, 7:30 a.m., 33 degrees: I was at a state park in southern Indiana (Brown County State Park) along with about 30 relatives from around the country who had picked that particular spot as a central location for the holiday. I used my car’s odometer to mark out my course: a 2.5k (out and back) for the run and a 5k (double out and back for the bike). I did the duathlon option and used my mountain bike.

1st run: 9:36 + 9:13 = 18:50

Bike: 12:24 + 12:22 + 13:01 + 11:24 = 49:13

2nd run: 9:49 + 8:55 = 18:44

Total: 1:26:52

There was a head wind on all of my “out” sections and a tailwind for the backs. Is there an award for slowest bike split? It was a lot of fun and of course everyone thought I was crazy. “What did you do this morning? Why?” Thanks JIm.
