Turbo FTP v road FTP difference?

What’s your difference if any? Why is there a difference?

I think I’m 25 watts or 10% lower on turbo. Not that it’s a concern as then my figures are higher once back out on road.

You’re in line with everyone else, and this has been discussed pretty much weekly on the forum. Try the search.

Cool was having issues with the search on iPad! Cheers

So why is it common for power to be different?

There are four main factors at play here:

Cooling & air flowInertial loadMotivationAdaptation

People say that an hour on the trainer equals 90 minutes outdoors. Indoors, there are no lights, cars, pedestrians etc. that would stop you or downhills where you might coast. So, woukd this offset any power differences?

some of us use magical pixie dust to avoid drop in power indoors
