Sure the race was nearly 3 weeks ago - sorry. I work on “Toddler Time” which means between my real job and the Daddy gig, the time I used to spend writing is hard to find. However, I wanted to get this done before the flood of IM-USA reports comes in on Monday - Good Luck to you all!
So without further adieu, the link is below (it’s like everything else I write - way too big to post here - I’d break the internets).
I’m pretty sure almost everybody got the wrong medal for the half. Frankly, I probably never would have even noticed had you not asked me about it. And now that I know, I don’t care anyway.
Who cares? Why do you care so much?
Why don’t you contact the RD and ask if you can exchange your incorrect medal for the right one, if it’s so damn important to you.
PS - Hurricane Bob, that was a very entertaining RR.
<< Then I remembered that all of the mile markers at Tupper Lake should have a little sign below them that says, “For Entertainment Purposes Only - Not Really Sure About The Measurements.” >>
The best one was mile 9, the trail run, that also apparently entered a worm-hole of sorts, as it was by far my fastest “mile” split of the day. Not that I’m complaining mind you
The fact that they all are conveniently on a telephone pole should let us all know how accurate they are.
How can you hate that run course? And what endless climbing were you referring to?
It’s almost pancake flat.
PPS - nice swim. I’ll trade you some bike and run for somea that.
“I spotted a tall, orange figure simply mowing through people. While folks ahead of her looked to be jogging, she was running. Head high, shoulders back, carving a line through the runners like Alberto Tomba through slalom gates.”
