Tufo sealant? (1)

So I did my first cross race of the year yesterday in the 3/4 35+ category. I was riding in the top ten and feeling really strong. Starting the last lap I managed to run over a nail and puncture my Tufo tubular rear tire. I had no spares in the pit and figured taking a neutral support bike would have taken to much time to change pedals and set the seat height so I road the last lap on a rear…and that is why tubulars are much better than clinchers (at least in cross). I still managed 17th out of like 60+ guys and beat my twin brother…Now onto my point. The nail was good sized, but was wondering how well the Tufo sealant works? I would probably go with the extreme sealant. I do have an older tufo with sealant in it that came with the wheel when I purchased it from a friend. I am not sure if he put it in there for backup or to seal a puncture. I have two rides on the new tire and would prefer to not have to glue up another one if the sealant is a good route to go.
