Anyone considering where to go for a training camp I highly recommend Tucson. I was lucky enough to meet Desert Dude in person and he showed me around… some great riding routes to include every crack in the road and pothole, some awesome climbs, some runs and a swim.
The weather was amazing and the climb to Mt. Lemmon, or mile 20 anyway, was amazing too. Read DD’s blog to find out about the old guy with the 70’s-bad-cop Ray Ban old school sunglasses w
Ditto on Tucson. I’m there now, and doing Mt. Lemmon again tomorrow. Ran and rode through the Saguaro (spelling?) National Park today; superb weather for it.

thanks again Desert Dude (and Mt. Lemmon),
Eric
Laughing my ass off reading it.
I am headed to Tuscon this march with a friend of mine. We’ve been to Tuscon before and enjoyed it. Do you have anyother recommendations on places to ride and run (we’ve done Mt.Lemmon), we swim in Oro Valley. Running was something I would like more information on. We seemed to do alot of the same routes last year, anything you could recommend would be appreciated. Like wise for new cycling routes.
