Tubulars v Clinchers

They say a good tubular wheel is faster than a clincher, though i have never used a tubular as i am a little scared on the hassels of fitting tubulars due to the gluing/fitting procees. Are they faster to change and what is the best techinque, also is there a tyre that is pre glued??

Do you have any idea what you just did?

obe,

you’ve been lurking for about a year now. you should know this is one of the 3rd rails of ST and has been hashed and re-hased to death. If you do a search you will find answers to all your questions, and lots more.

happy training

If you type Tubular vs. Clincher in the search box for this forum, you’ll get 37 pages of results…Enjoy

While we’re at it, can we also discuss if more is really more, post pictures of hotties, debate who is a bigger pussy: Lessing or Stadler, and tell people that they need to worry about their fit more than their frame.

Wow…instant lynching! I’d also refer you to www.biketechreview.com and look on the left column for the tire data. There’s a few things up there, but the interesting bit is AFM’s tire roller data. It’ll tell you tons about clincher vs tubular.

I always wonder who the “They Say” people are.

Careful now, that was close to a serious answer. If one person posts an answer it will start. The other side must retort,
