My local bike shop guy said that they are doing this now, just like with mt. bikes. Anybody try this yet or even hear of it being done?
Have to say I don’t see a real big advantage in road application, I’d wonder about a road tire getting a tight enough seal with no tube.
TUFO makes tubeless clinchers.
Yes I know, but this “system” is like mounting a wire bead clincher on a clincher wheel with no intertube. Much like a car tire is done.

It is my understanding that Stan is working on a version for road bikes. The thought of a self sealing road tire with less rotational mass than a traditional tire/tube combination sounds almost too good to be true.
