So I have had tubulars on my race wheels for some years now. While mounting my last set I noticed there is a lot of glue on there. I don’t think it is interfering with any thing. But my question is, is it needed to clean the rims at any time when you are using tubbys? If so with what and what are the caveats? The last tyre i mounted looks liek a defect, it is not round, unless i stretched it weirdly, anyway i need to take one of the tyres off and remount a new one and figured i would deal with this now if it needs to be.
