TTX shifing problems

My txx is having problems shifting from the 12 down to the 11- it is really sluggish.
If I slam it down from the 14 all the way to the 11 it goes fine- just slow 12 to 11.
I think the derailleur is adjusted fine in terms of the stops- it travels all the way when in the stand. I also believe that cable tension is fine- if I make it looser, it shifts poorly in other gears but is still slow going into the 11.
Do I need to do sometihng with housing length? Shorter or longer? I tried to make it like other ttx bikes I have seen on line.

Hi, Just off the top of my head, it could be in the housing itself. With the non-stop rear derail housing, there might be some friction going on somewhere. There are some areas where the housing makes some not so smooth bends. Try pulling the derail-cable out and lightly lubing it. But, be careful not to yank the housing out or else it will be a real bugger to fix it through the frame holes. (as you already might know)

And, make sure the housing enters/exits the frame with a smooth bend.

maybe, that helps??

What he said! Really, given that you are right about your set-up, the symptoms sound like excessive friction in the cable somewhere. Happens often on a MTBs when the last loop of housing at the derailleur gets full of muck, derailleur spring is weakest at small cog, and wont overcome much friction.
