TSR - who needs what

NO! Not for you…you know someone…someone at a club ride that is on a moutain bike. You know a college kid who cant afford this or that. A neighbor, buddy, girlfriend or boyfriend…what is it they need? Would your mother in law like a set of Vison Tech aero bars? Seen someone at a local race that could really use (insert item here)? What is it…who is it…where is it…?

I have people who are offering to ship me bikes…whole bikes, some with Tri Spokes and other race wheels on them! I have new parts, used parts, wetsuits, shoes and more on the way to me - and directly to people who can use them…so again…what does someone you know need?

And…what do you have that you dont need?

I just got my fiance a Raleigh Technium and she would love to try Clipless shoes and pedals. She would be about a 43 or size 9-9.5 in mens. Just haven’t gotten in the hours to get them for her yet. And her fiance may need a front race wheel in mid August, just so you know.

And I do have some stem for threaded headsets, on new one old, let me know if you want them. As well as an old school Duraace Crank with a tange BB, not great but someone could use it on a beater bike or like I did until they can afoord something in the 53/39 era. PM me if you think people could use either. Best I have to offer is a Selcof seatpost that is really long.

Thanks for the TSR program.

I bet someone here would love that crankset…I have pedals…anyone have shoes?

Understanding that I am opening myself to abuse:

What is TSR?

I have a freind that is just starting out. She needs a road or tri bike and all of the misc. stuff for cycling. Her first Tri is the 19th. She is about 5’6", but I don’t know what size frame that would translate into. I will talk to her today to see if she has any idea.

Depending in how the race goes she might just send it back after. Let me know if you have anything close.

Thanks a bunch in advance!!

My girlfriend just got her first road bike, a Felt 32 something. She loves it,and is eager to try clipless pedals. She spend over $600 on the bike and can’t afford $100-150 more. Maybe someone here wants to help. Any type of pedal would do, and she is a 9.5 women’s (equivalent to a 8.5 in men’s size). 41 in European.

If we have anything laying around, I will sure contact you about giving back to TSR.

Ciao, and thanks in advance,

i have a cyclo computer to donate to TSR. It can do basic functions such as speed. odo. distance etc

Team Second Hand Racing

A concept started by one Mr. Tibbs, a legend and a funny, flawed, and wonderful human being.

It’s all about giving to those who need.

Record10 Carbon has taken it upon himself to warehouse and distribute.

I also have a black Syntace basebar, size L and a pair of Tektro TT brake levers.

Felipe, I have a pair of Specialized Sport Road shoes in a EU 40. They are in good condition, just a bit scraped from a fall. My daughter wore a men’s 8.5 when these fit her. Are you doing the tri camp again this year? I will send the shoes with her and your girlfriend can try them.

That would be much, much appreciated.

I will be at the training camp this year, although a little late as I will be racing in West Virginia on the 24th.

Thanks again,

Felipe

You guys all rock…

also…this is VERY peliminary…but I should have some WOMENS wetsuits on their way soon, I am not sure sizes and what not - from what I understand they are Orca, and only used a time or two…I will keep y’all advised…if you know any women who need a suit, and they end ud up being the right size…and need it for THEMSELVES ( I dont want to hear about people other than me selling TSR stuff that I sent out, someone other sends it to you, have at it)…oh, and if I sell items, I will post what they sold for, and use the money for freight, and purchase of items that are directly TRS related. I will post balance sheets as asked as well.

Felipe, good luck in West Virginia! I will send the shoes along with my daughter. Sorry, I don’t have any pedals, already donated her old Looks to a kid that works with my husband.

Speaking of TSR. are the Tri tops that I read about on the old threads still available for purchase? If so, I would love one.

thansk

Thanks, my gf says it is much appreciated. She might be at camp this year. She is UF’s #1 5 and 10k runner and might help Cyle with the running side of things.

Ciao,

That would be great, they could use another female. My daughter just got home from 9 days of swim camp at UF. She just loves that camp, begged us to let her do that AND tri camp. We caved, what else is new. They did a fair amount of running and a lot of conditioning stuff at swim camp, but she hasn’t been on the bike in 10 days, so she’ll have to get her butt in gear before tri camp. She is really looking forward to it, had a great time last year, and really enjoyed getting to know the other like-minded kids. It sure makes going to races more fun when she is looking forward to seeing the other kids there. Tri camp kicked her butt though, she slept so much the week after I though she was sick!

Record…

I could use a pair of aero bars. I’ve been using the OCR2 Giant Tibbs sent me, and it works great, but I think some aero bars would help my back out on longer rides. I just finished my first 1/2 Ironman, as many of you might know. I’m now training for Ironman Florida.

Below is a picture of me coming out of T1 with The Giant.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out with some aerobars. I am still looking for full time work too if anyone is interested in hiring a hard-working Web-Geek/SysAdmin. Or if you are looking for cheap web design… the part-time contracts I’ve been doing have really helped out a lot.

Why are you hiding your face?

27min is a great 1/2 IM swim time - especially for a first timer! Nice work.

chuckle thanks Khai.

I heard some people saying the course was short though… Not sure. I still beat a lot of the 1st wavers out of the water and I was in the 4th wave (Clydesdale – fat boy).

I think I’m going to do some searches for some longer distance swims… (google) see if there are any thing like “Ultra Marathon” but for swimming. I think that’d be a lot of fun to try after the Ironman.

There are actually a good amount of long distance swim events, but the problem with a lot of them is that you need to provide your own support crew (typically a kayak, but some require power boats).

There’s a 9k swim from North Vancouver to Kits that I’ve had my eye on for a couple of years now. One day…
