While getting ready for the Silicon Valley Triathlon Club’s Kids tri Saturday night my 7 year old son said he needed a “race shirt”. I attempted to explain that Saturday night at 8:30 wasn’t the best time to go looking for a tri top for a 4’ 50lb kid. So he said I can use yours and went and got my TSR top. Well I had to think about the “Racing for the hell of it” on the shirt and I figured nobody would figure out the polishing the bishop reference. But when your kid wants to be like you have to go with it.
He ended up doing well and was 9th the 7-8 AG and the 3rd 7 year old boy. Best of all you can see from the smile (with the teeth he has left) that he had a great time. SVTC puts on an awesome race and the volunteers could not have been better. Some of the parents at the race were a different story.
