I was not going to jump into the other long thread, so I’ll just start this one.
Now, i’m not sure if this has been discussed, because i’m not reading all 10 pages of that other one, but I just read an interesting take on his comments:
Basically Trump made this comments to bring the Democrats back together. As there was separation forming between “the squad” and the other Democrats, especially after AOC’s comments on Pelosi. Trump doesn’t want that, he wants them to be grouped together so he can point to them and say “they are ALL…” when election time comes. So while the distancing began, in one (racist) tweet he know has the entire party embracing “the squad” back in with open arms (with their focus on Trump).
At first I was like “WTF did he just say??” when it was reported what he tweeted. I’m not shocked he said something offensive, or that he is ignorant of where they are from…but even this I thought was pretty low for him. And then I read that little bit…and it got me to thinking that it made sense.

That’s the whole rub: the guy is a fucking idiot (I truly believe that). Or is he?? I mean, he ACTUALLY FUCKING WON the Presidency and there is no way I would have believed it. I mean…maybe we are all midgets in his mental warfare game, and he is just on a different level (“normal peeps” can only get on that level when baked). I’d like to think that isn’t the case as it really makes me look badly at myself. But shit…It makes sense. Maybe it was a masterful chess move, and my checkers brain can’t grasp it.
I linked the article, and they actually made mention that we shouldn’t think that he is some brilliant strategist…but…
So trump’s plan is to make it so all of his supporters are supporting an outright racist?

Ever have a crazy girlfriend, or family member, or a friend with a crazy GF or BF? And they are just really good at manipulating people, getting them to turn on each other, always making sure that there is some drama going on, yet kinda sorta putting the blame on someone else? These aren’t the same people who necessarily become brain surgeons or rocket scientists.
Trump is an exceptional narcissist who is really good at drawing attention to himself and manipulating people. That’s his gift.

First off, did I write the article linked? No. so that’s part of the reason you’re stupid: your reading comprehension…well, doesn’t exist.
Secondly, yes, you are completely stupid when you make comments that are just flippant and provide NOTHING, and yet you continue to shine a bright light on it for everyone to see.

I agree with this. I heard from many: “i’ll never vote for her.” and they didn’t like Trump either. They played the lesser of two evils in their opinion.
Unfortunately I don’t have the article to link, but I remember reading a guy that predicts the winner of the Presidency (and has correctly…since a long time), and he picked Trump to win. Everyone said the guy was a loony toon, but he basically said he (Trump) was hitting all the metrics that mattered. They were playing Money Ball with the election…and it worked. Now, I don’t think Trump knew what the fuck he was doing, but someone on his team did (or just dumb ass luck). But it worked. And here we are again: looking at a scenario where he stirs up shit with ignorant comments…but was there a plan behind it.
Again, I didn’t write this article (that’s to remind Chaparral). But if you can open your mind and stop wanting to shit on him without looking at it from different angles, maybe there is actually a train of thought behind his loony toon comments. Maybe, as BarryP said, he is just a master manipulator. But man…it’s working. Look at the people that comment back with “he is just a POS racist”.
