Flame out after flame out…this has been fun.
- Trump: Obama dispatched him without thinking twice.
- Bachmann: self-immolated in a fire of religious craziness.
- Perry: chewing gum & walking required a bit too much thinking. Dumb as a stump.
- Cain is done: how could you think that MULTIPLE sexual harassment allegations (and more importantly, settlements) wouldn’t come out? (CNN is reporting that Karen Kraushaar, the woman who filed a sexual harassment complaint against Herman Cain, and won a settlement, is now clearly angry about Cain’s denials. He’s saying she never experienced sexual harassment and saying that is a "fact."She says she has the complete documentation of her sexual harassment in her possession, in explicit detail, and is now released from any confidentiality agreement…Kraushaar insisted that the settlement agreement was specifically on the grounds of sexual harassment, and for $46,000, a year’s salary. Releasing those documents will likely end Cain).
So who is left?
- Santorum: aside from losing his last state election by the largest % of any incumbent Senator since 1980 (18 points), he has a Google problem. Completely unelectable.
- Gingrich: rising in the Repub polls. Please, please, please, please…would be a Mondale-esq loss for the Repubs. The very definition of “too much baggage”. And dumb.
- Paul: has that 3-4% Libertarian vote in his pocket. And will never get above that.
- Huntsman: he could win the general. Looks the part, has the resume. Doesn’t seem to have the fire/desire to do what it takes to win. And his social positions are kryptonite to the Repub base.
Tea Party, where is your candidate? Because it certainly isn’t Romney (Romney can’t win the general with under 30% support from his own party in the primaries).
