Mike Caiazzo takes fourth pro spot for a money slot.
any idea what running shoes he’s wearing?
new zoot racing flats
.
TAI is correct. These are the new Zoot Tri shoes and they really are great. They really kept me rolling forward. Also the first time that my feet were not a bloody mess after a tri.
Mike
Congratulations, great result!
Congratulations! You just won a comp entry and homestay to AmZof
Great pic. Congrats on the strong finish. Mike…are you sponsored by Suunto… is that a Polar HRM in the pic ?
Mike truly is a stud.
This guy trains in one week what most “pros” train on a Mon/Tues/Wed!!
He works full time in the finance world, has a small son, 2 dogs, just sold a house, is building a new house and living with his inlaws!!!
A true working class hero for us hacks!! He was even on course at the Urban Epic Saturday cheering me on.
Good results could not have come to a better dude.
Good job man.

Humble too…never met or spoke to him before but introduced myself to him after the race, and such a nice genuine guy.
Kurt, you are lucky to train such awesome athletes…ahemmm.

Kat,
Easy for you to say that Kurt is lucky to coach me because you don’t have to deal with me on a daily basis. Actually I am the lucky one. He is a great coach/person and is very patient with all of my questions/problems. Nearly of my success in has been directly from Kurt’s coaching. He knows that I have a very busy life and gives me workouts that fit into my limited amount of training time.
It was nice meeting you today and am glad you came up to me and introduced yourself.
Mike
Mike…right back at you. So psyched for you today! I was calling Kurt with all the splits, did the same at IMLP with regards to Alex M-M. And, in case you were wondering that was Jeff (my husband giving you the time down - I think you gave him a thumbs up)…
And definately YES, Kurt’s the best, I am a GIANT pain in the A$$. Yesterday, he called Jeff and I after his EPIC win at EPIC, to find out about US at T-man sprint! After all my babbling, it took me to ask him, and he HUMBLY said, “oh yeah, I did win.”
So with that being said, great coach…great athlete!
Nice meeting you too!
