Hi all -

I took a trip to the zoo today with a friend to visit the new ocelot kittens. They are adorable! Many of the animals were out in the sun today napping. I thought you all might enjoy seeing a few of them.

Ocelots are beautiful cats…my 17 mo son loves them…Thx !

Oooh…you have Hippos? I have always wanted to see a Hippo…but never have. I was in Africa for a bit and was lucky enough to come “up close and personal” with some rhinos, giraffes, etc…but didn’t get to see a Hippo. They don’t have them at the zoo here.

They are very cool though. I both love and hate going to the zoo.

Yup, 3 hippos. They were all sleeping today, doing their best impressions of rocks.

JenHS, This time of the year is a great time to go to the zoo. It seems the animals are more active and friendly than they are in the warmer months. If any of you are wanting to take your family to the zoo this year, I recommend this time of the year.

I LOVE the zoo! Bryan and I go at least once a year which our friends with kids find highly amusing since we don’t have any little ones of our own. Last year they were ‘socializing’ the young giraffes so for $5 you could feed the giraffes which I thought was a ton of fun. One of my favorite parts is the petting zoo with the miniature pony. Now you’ve got me thinking we’ll have to go someday soon.

Yeah, me too. Looks too much like me when sleeping.

Zoos are great btw. Ever notice how many divorced dads take their kids to the zoo on weekends? I know because I was one.
