Yep, and with the adjustment available, the difference is negligible.
So now you’ve gone from “no difference” to “negligible”. Making progress. I’d still argue that 74.5 vs. 77 is nothing to sneeze at (even if it is for the shortest seat tube).

BFPD1:Triathlon bikes are designed to make it easier to run off the bike, wheras UCI legal time trial bikes try to be as aero as possible within the strick UCI rules.
Kenny: So can you show me the difference of the frame of these TT bikes and triathlon bikes? And how is a bike frame make it easier to run off the bike?
BFPD1: Sure:

Scroll down to the bottom and look at the difference between the P5 six and the P5-3. The 3 has UCI legal fork and a lower seat tube angle (seat further back).
Triathlon bikes allow you to run off the bike better by having optimum geometry for riding in the aerobars, as well as the steeper seat angle that spares the hamstrings for the run.
what exactly about the p5-6 vs p5-3 does the above? can’t quote seat angles as they are the same. point 2 … the p5-6 gets an ever so slight edge over uci, so…
just saying this comment and then positing the p5 as the example was a poor choice
Wow! I estimate about 15 GUs taped onto the bike. More in the bento bag. How far are you riding that you would want to carry that much fuel?

Apparently this is a pretty well-known picture, even tho I saw it for the first time on ST. THERE ARE EIGHT POUNDS OF NUTRITION ON THIS BIKE!!!
What is the difference between a tt bike and a tri bike? The amount of accessories that you put on the bike (water bottles, bento boxes, etc.). The more stuff you put on the bike, the more it becomes a tri bike.

This is a relevant thread to me as I recently purchased a Ridley Dean frame as my Scott Plasma 2 frame was deemed beyond repair.
Been struggling to get into a comfortable position on the Dean and was prepared to fork out the cash for a professional fit until the “triathlon community” started telling me that the Dean is a TT bike with a geometry that is too aggressive for Triathlon.
So now I am struggling with the decision: Take the Dean back and buy a triathlon specific bike or stick with the Dean and fork out the cash for bike fit. If I get the fit and it turns out the Dean is not practical for triathlon that is just more money spent.
What to do, what to do.
