Finally a TV show about our sport. I got a sneak peek at the show and it’s pretty darn good.

Great! If you live in Philly.
JJ
It’s going to air nationally. The production company is based in Philly.
awesome!
now I get to watch them more then once every four years!
Amen to that! I think the show is great. Hopefully it will get the support it needs to survive in this economic climate.
Any idea what network?
Not yet. They are getting ready to shop it. Hopefully there will be news soon.
Pretty cool.
As an aside…is it just me or is that “TDot” really stupid?
Hopefully they have pretty deep pockets. Air time is insanely expensive. I produce a show that’s aired on Versus for the past 4 years and we pay an arm and a leg for a not real awesome times slot (Saturday afternoons).
odd that they have a new show that they are trying to promote and yet i can’t seem to find clips online anywhere.
that’s the exact opposite of what i would do if i were promoting the show. why not get free viral advertising?
odd.
anyway, how did you get a chance to see a clip? can you help me find a link so i can glance at it?
The show isn’t ready for review. I am a TV producer that they sent a copy to look at. When it is ready for everyone, I’m sure you will be able to find it. There is a Facebook group that you can join.
Funny?
“review” ?
i am not a media critic, i just want to get a taste of what it’s like.
what’s the facebook link? do they have clips there, or no?
Hopefully it will get the support it needs to survive in this economic climate.
Triathlon was doing just fine without a lot of attention focused on it. For the sport as a business and a cultural icon, more publicity is a positive. For the pros it means more money and opportunity. For the dedicated amatuer triathlete it means bigger crowds and higher costs that will offset a larger number of more elaborate events. The fact that the sport has lost its uniqueness is a frequent topic of discussion. Popularity and growth don’t necessarily mean progress and improvement.
