Hello All,
Looking at the 24 hour results posted - distance traveled in a specific time.
It might be fun to have a Tri race that had a cutoff time and results were based on how far you went.
There could be the 4 (4 hours) the 8 (8 hours) and the 24 (24 hours).
Timing chip technology with GPS would provide the data.
It could ease the Race Director’s job of clearing the streets.
Not intended to replace the current format - just another kind of race.
Cheers,
Neal
And do you get to pick how long you do each? I’d swim 50 yards, run 100 yards, and spend the rest of the time on the bike.

That already exists. The 24 hours of triathlon race also has an 8 hour race. See www.24hoursoftriathlon.com It’s held near Denver.
There’s also this race - 1/3 mi swim, 14 mi bike, 3.1 mi trail run, over and over and over as many times as you can in 10 hours. Either solo, team, or relay too.

Hello Ike and All,
I guess there are no new ideas under the sun.
Thanks for the info.
