Does anyone want to start a kindle book share program? I have I’m Here to Win, The Other Kingdom(About running), and Fit Soul Fit Body by Mark Allen and Brant Secunda. I know there’s a way to loan books for a 2 week period. And rather then spend 10 dollars per book, I tend to read through them in about 3 or 4 days. I’d love to start a kindle book share program
I’d definitely be interested. I was thinking of doing something similar. And according to this page, you can only lend a book once. Also, not all books are lendable.
I just checked my books… the only tri related book that is lendable is the Meb’s “Run to Overcome” the others I have (Macca’s book, Unbroken, Born to Run, Grace to Race) are not lendable. Kind of sucks because I bought my sister in law a kindle because of the sharing program, not realizing that you couldn’t share all books.
Gosh, that sucks. Paying 13.37 for im here to win and you can’t lend it? Kindle books are actually expensive and they add up.
I’d guess that down the road some of those books will be lendable. Once they aren’t so new.
Have you looked at checking kindle books out of the library? And there’s always about 300 free for a limited time book available. I check it regularly, download a bunch, read only a few and save my purchases for books that I really want vs books to read to pass the time when traveling etc…
I haven’t really seen any good books in the library. Could you post up the link?
yeah, the library books depend on what your local library pays for. Mine told me they’d get more if people use the program. I did put in a request to my library system for a book and they were willing to add it to their kindle collection. I think that’s how it will go for a while.
Here’s the link to the temporarily free books. Not a lot that’s interesting, but it’s enough to keep me from spending $50/month on kindle books.

People who lend books for a nominal fee. You can lend yours. You aren’t going to make any money, but you may be able to “borrow” a book for a nominal fee instead of buying it outright.
Also - I’m sure it’s against the terms - but many people (family members, coworkers, reading circles) get a single amazon account just for book buying. Then they all use the same account and they can all use the book. Again - probably against the terms, but I know of many groups that do that. I share my login with my parents…
