It’s the OWS wrestling that makes it so exciting for specs.

I’m not sure who made that list… but I think it was a guy who never made a sports team in his life,
Football, cycling, soccer(mens maybe just cause of the whining), rugby, nascar(sometimes interesting) and for the love of god CURLING?? he should be banished from writing articles
I’m sure some sports are so utterly boring that theyre not even considered for the list - aka triathlon.
Dumbest list ever. The most popular sport in the world and the most popular sport in US are in the list. Apparently he’s basing this off his opinion and not facts.

A glaring oversight!
Not surprising, sheep-shagging didn’t make the list either…
He’s probably never heard of triathlon given his vast knowledge of the other sports in the world. He’s also probably never heard of golf or bowling either.

HAHA! Yeah, he probably thinks “triathlon” and “marathon” are interchangeable… and therefore he’s also confused as to why there are two different words for the same sport.
I feel obliged to agree with his analysis of American ‘football’ ![]()

Football & Soccer???
There has to be some reason why they are the top sports in the US & World.
Rugby? He put rugby in?? I disagree with the rugby and soccer aka football. What idiot thinks they are boring?
Fat kid with shitty hand eye coordination that can’t even play darts or bit in shape guy who can’t run??
Mind you, who thinks darts is really a sport anyway?
And don’t diss curling - what other “sport” can you actively play with a drink in hand?

I hope you unintenionally left off the pink coloration.
We love college football! This Saturday starts 12-13 weeks of wonderment. From the non-conference tilts to the 100+ year conference rivalries each week brings something new.
My wife and I are road tripping to Lincoln, Nebraska for the first time. The anticipation is similar to that of an IM.
Go Cats!
I do concede professional football is quite boring in comparison and minute to minute ice hockey is more exciting.

Ironman watching…yawn and zzzzzzzzz.
ITU racing…the opposite of that. ^^^^

This. Lawn Bowls. Think of it as curling for those who don’t live in sub-arctic areas ![]()
i don’t like WATCHING any sports…
i used to race dirtbikes…great fun! watching other people race the SAME course, heck the SAME race…not fun!
swimming, racing someone = fun…watching someone race someone = not fun
triathlon, racing and seeing the course and experiencing the highs/lows = ~fun…watching someone do that (with out beer) = not fun

Oh come on!!! Rocks are much, much heavier! Old grannies couldn’t lift them - nor balance their drink while they threw them.
Spot the Canuck! Oh the shame!!
I didn’t realize that Tour de France was a sport… I was always under the assumption that it was a cycling race.

Intentionally left off the pink font. I don’t want to hijack the thread at all. Nor do I want to necessarily offend fans. Just want to explain where I’m coming from…
As an Aussie who grew up playing rugby league (see photo 8, and the Most Dangerous Sports gallery on the same site as the OP), I find American Football to be pretty damn boring. Why?
-The start+stop nature of the game: it seems to me it’s played 5 seconds at a time. For the most part, you get a good 5 seconds of play for every 25 seconds of sh*t.
-The size of the teams: seriously, how many guys are there? Seems like dozens. I don’t like this at all. Most of the athletes out there aren’t, IMO, very versatile. I would hate it if I grew up playing this and my coach “Well, you’re gonna play X position this year, little Johnny, that means all you’re gonna do is tackle the guy to your left… all year”. Guys come on, fall on other guys, then come off. It seems like they’re far too specialized in what they do. I’d love to see them play offence AND defense - the same guys. The QB punts, etc. Just my observation… Speaking of punts and kicking, they make the TD conversions way too easy by allowing them to kick from in fron t of the sticks all the time, if they score out wide, why not kick from out there, as rugby does. Why make it easy?
-This is a bit stupid, but something I don’t really like seeing: Each and every play, the guys are up chest-bashing, dancing and what-not as if they are trying out for the “Americas Got Talent”. Granted if you score a TD, celebrate, but after each play? I think this is a result of them having so much time, and the lack of speed in the general flow of the game (i.e. always having a set defense for each play). In rugby, some of the most exciting stuff happens when the defense’s formations are broken i.e. when they kick and return etc…
-All the protective junk: Safety is important but I’m not sure that they’re doing crazier stuff than other full contact sports, or have a lower rate of injuries.

Uhh… I’m not a Canuck… I’m Aussie. I can confirm I’ve seen plenty of grannies boozing it up when playing bowls.
