TriAll3 ISP Bike case experience

Have any STers out there with fixed seat posts bought the new bike case made for these style bikes from TriAll3? If so, can you let me know your experiences. I currently have a clamshell from the same company that is a few years old and has been tossed around enough by the baggage gorillas that it is time for a new case. One of the wheels on my current clamshell case broke after the first flight and it has been a pain in the a&* hauling around. I am trying to decide between the Trico ironcase and this new offering. I have heard a lot of good things about Trico on this forum. However, it is another clam shell which means I will have to take off the front fork from the frame to fit.

I have the velo safe custom road. Overall I really like the case. It is solid and easy to roll around the airport. I found that I can put quite a few other things in there and still say under the weight limit. Here is a potential downside though. Mine does not fit in a car trunk with the top on the case. I usually need to rent a minivan as a result.

Just make sure that the new case and bike will be be under 50 pounds. Some bike cases are so heavy that you will forever be paying overweight fees.

I have a SCOTT Plasma size medium. It does not fit in my Tri All3 case with the saddle removed. Had to rent a clam shell case from my LBS.

Thanks for the info KL. Is your case the new velo case that is higher than the standard velo case? I have seen ads for this new one that is supposed to fit bikes with fixed seatposts. I also have a Scott Plasma size medium. For my current TriAll3 clamshell, I had to remove the fork. I guess that will be the standard approach going forward then based on your input.
