Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find out what tri’s will be covered on t.v. and when they will be on?
Raced this weekend. My second sprint of the year (if anyone read my last race report they’ll remember I went down on the bike for the first time). Got out of the water 5th (in my wave… 17th overall) and I was feelin good. Got on the bike and was on it for all of 20 seconds before the back tire went out on me. Flat. Crap. Never had a flat in a race before.
Now, I’m not a bike/mechanical person. I fix flats faster than most 3-5 year olds… but, would easily lose to a 6 year old. I managed to get a new tube in in about 7 or 8 minutes. Then realized the nut on the valve was inside the tire instead of on the other side of the rim… time to do it over. Ok… 5 min later done. Time to pump it up. My little bike hand pump won’t let me go over 60 psi… WTF??? So, I run to the truck get BIG MOTHER pump and sprint back to my bike… fill it with air… return my pump to the truck and jump on the bike. 20 minutes is the grand total.
Ended up averaging 13.6 mph for a bike of 14.5 miles.
My run was aight… 43rd overall. Ended up placing 170 out of 321.
Best part about the day though came after the race… prizes were thrown to the crowd after the awards ceremony and I fought some guy for a Limar F111 helmet - and, won. What a cool helmet! 
Rode 65 miles yesterday. Never gone that far. Felt great. Lots of hills. Had fun.
