Looks like the crew from Tri One o One, have pulled the tent and the circus has left town. They went from looking for a new venue to taking the whole website down and cancelling everything. Is this a big surprise? Probably NOT… It’s pretty disappointing that they failed at this series… Hopefully they don’t run off with my money…
Technically, the website isn’t completely down. Just when you enter in the main URL.
If you do a search in Google on “Tri One O One” and click on another page, you can still access the rest of the site.
I write a weekly running column for a daily newspaper north of The Woodlands.
I’m attempting to seek comments from all parties involved for this Sunday’s column. My approach sure changed this morning!
I’m also hoping I don’t have to use the line, “so-and-so did not respond to requests for comments.”
I won’t be surprised to hear that closing the roads where the run course was on a Sunday was a back-breaker. It is why the local running store revived a 10-Miler that had stopped about 6-7 years ago on a Saturday.
Will wait and see what I hear … or don’t hear.
Yep - we’ve been arguing about it all afternoon:
There’s a big thread about it already:
This doesn’t surprise me one bit. When 101 was intoduced - I compared it to a “20 mile marathon”. Someone saw a gap between 70.3 and 140.6 and tried to fill it. I’m glad it’s gone the same way I’m glad the USFL died. Go BILLS!!!
You have to question the sanity of anyone who would host a race in Clearlake!
