I’ve been riding the same pair of Sidi T2s for about 6 years now; mine were the first or 2nd year they came out. Outside of Tris, I’ve tried other brands of road/MTB shoes at various times, and kept coming back to the Sidis… their cut just fits my feet the best, simple as that. So, if you like the Sidi fit, I’d stick with 'em. Fumbling with the strap might cost you a few seconds (although really I think you gotta be able to figure out a way to smooth that out; they’ve been fine for me), but if another shoe doesn’t fit as comfortably you’d be suffering w/ that for much, much longer.
Ha, if those two seconds make a big difference to anyone here…swim faster!
i like Nike cycling shoes mainly because they are a little wider in the forefoot, even use the Poggios for just road riding. They have a nice a stiff carbon sole and are/were reasonably inexpensive. The T-Speed have a nice fat single strap with drain holes near the cleat adapters. You can find them every so often on ebay. I just picked up a pair of the crazy silver and blue to go alond with my silver and black ones. Of course user preference.

How do those fit? Are they the same fit as with Nike running shoes? I kind of want to try some. With all the fans out there it is pretty sad that Nike stopped production. There are a lot of shoes that Nike should consider discontinuing before dropping these.
Shimano, one big strap, comfortable and easy to put on.
i don’t know about Nike running shoes. I stopped wearing them in like 1995 when i started to learn about gait and all that other running stuff. Sorry i can’t help out.
I use a Nike tri shoe in the bike and all my running shoes are Nike right now. The running shoes are “tighter” through the front of the foot than the cycling shoe. I like them both.
Oh, the Nike has one strap and that is all you need.
why would you need shoes for a tricycle?
I would think regular pedals/baskets would be enough.
