What is a fair price for a local bike shop to pay for sponsorship logos on Team Jerseys? We are a 20 person club not in a big city. I wanted to get some local sponsor to help offset cost of jerseys but I dont know what is reasonable to ask.
Thanks

We’ve never gotten cash from a bike shop, only disounts and services.
As far as cash, a physical therapist or chiropractor might be a better bet. Possibly a dentist, a dentist needs to hook some young folks with money.
There’s also bars or whatnot who mostly do it out of charity.
We got $500 each from sponsors that’s for a club with 120 folks. I am sure others have more stories.

Interesting question…as the president of a small team and an RD, I have found that that our LBS is better served with discounts to our members, race day prep of bikes (cleaned and serviced and readied at no charge…and that is even when a team member shows up at 6pm the night before the race). In addition, they have always always gotten us whatever products we want, need or desire. Occassionally I’ve asked them to get something just so I can try it…I’ve ended up not buying and they just put it out for the general public for sale.
I think the most important thing they’ve done for us is support the races we put on. They become main sponsors, print and supply water bottles, gifts for winners, stuff for the raffles, provide race day bike mechanics, lead vehicles, sag vehicles, and get this CLEAN UP THE BIKE COURSES…sign pickup, trash and disgarded stuff pickup.
So…with that being said…no money, but what they give to our team is PRICELESS!
By the way in terms of jerseys have you checked out PACTIMO?
