Tri book with European distances?

Can anyone recommend a good book on ironman training, preferably with Euorpean distance measures (meters and kilometers as opposed to yards and miles)? although it’s not rocket science to convert training plans, it gets a bit tiring after a while…

As far as I know, the “Ironman Training Series” (Starting out, Start to finish…) by Roch Frey and Paul Huddle are translated into other languages such as German, French, Dutch etcetera… The distances are converted to meters. I don’t know if there is a Swedish translation as well, though if you’re able to read/understand German you could give it a try (e.g. ISBN 3898990583). There is a bunch of other training books available in German as well - with distances in meters of course.

Good luck!

John Helleman’s triathlon training book is very good. he tells me there will be a new addition of it out next year.

Swede, if you look out a Canadian copy you should find the distances in metric and it would be English language too.

True, but it’s kind of hard to know which edition(s) they are carrying at most online stores (like Amazon). I have ended up using the “Search inside” function on Amazon to figure out what metrics they are using in the books, but maybe there is a quicker way. Ideas?

Try amazon.ca or google canadian edition of whichever book you are after. Failing that ask some of the Canadian STers if the copies they have are in kms or miles?
