Tri Bike Fit in Houston or Austin areas

Who would be the best?

The fitter I use should know aero weenie stuff inside and out, I am a nerd, I need a nerd bike fitter.

=)

go see the guys over at Tri on the Run. Johhny Zepeda fit me and did a bang-up job. stores over on Memorial in Houston.

Drive up to Tyler and see John Cobb.

Good point! what does he charge?

Its probably best that you contact him and discuss.

I would suggest us. We are amazing…If you want the super nerdy fit then talk to Dave Wenger at Source Endurance. He won the state time trial 2 years ago and is at the wind tunnel quite a bit.

I asked the same thing 6 months ago.

Zane Castro at Jack & Adam’s in Austin. Patient, methodical, serious, and really professional–in the very fun atmosphere of Jack & Adam’s.

Testimonial:
How well did Zane fit me to both my Tri-TT and Road bikes? He refitted me in July and I finshed the racing season with my FIT as an advantage, not an obstacle. So well that after then riding the road bike exclusively for 3 months this fall-winter, my first ride back on the Tri-TT was 3+ hours with zero soreness during or after the ride. I repeated it two days later, again with no transitional issues. It was worth the 3 hour drive from Houston.

I’ve been very happy with the fit I got at Austin Tri Cyclist.

drive to Austin and go to either ATC or Jack & Adams. Both are great shops

ATC 100% talk to Adam or Don, and if you go on Saturday, you can ride the Tour de Saturday with them (fast ride) then get fitted, and have a cold one. It doesnt get any better.

John Cobb has spent more time in the wind tunnel than any other cyclist guru out there and he is only a few hours away from you. His fit is reasonably priced and he will take however long it takes to get you in the optimal position. He pays a ton of attention to biodynamics that most fitters ignore AND you can pick his brain on aero stuff until the cows come home.
