Tri-8? (ie. Big party and a chance to mingle)

Just got in from walking the dogs (always an adventure) and saw the Austin post, calling for a Cincy like weekend down south. A thought popped in my head that will likely be dismissed but without any reflection I wanted to share.

The Cincy training\party thing was a ducumented smashing success. So let’s steal a page from Geldoff and have nationwide or global Slowtwitch parties in many cities over the same weekend. Could make for some great threads the following Monday.

We could pick a weekend and run with it. I for instance could host everyone from around St Louis in a bike ride\run\BBQ\drunken afterglow, as could Slowtwitch friends get together over the same weekend in Miami, NY, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago, Dearborn, Cali, London, Austin, Dallas, Phoenix, etc, etc, etc. Even if only half a dozen people get together in a few of the major cities we collectively twitch slow in it could be a few hundred total thrillseekers and who knows how many threadworthy pictures and tales would ensue.

Anybody? Anybody?

I’m down with that, I could collect the Van folks for an epic training weekend… why not labour day w/e?

I am in, but as the only STer this far north in michigan I nominate DEarborn or Detroit or Ann Arbor as a Locale for MI

I think if you reposted this with a clearer title it would get more traffic. I skipped this thread for quite a while because the title made no sense to me. I finally only looked at because I had read all else on ST.
