RAAM has been really exciting this year. A close dual between Micheal Trivino, the American rookie upstart, ultra runner turned cyclist and the Slovakian Jure Robic.
A couple of days ago there was a big controversy with Jure Robic’s crew accusing Micheal Trivino of cheating. does anyone know the details of the matter? Robic’s crew have since withdrawn the allegation and removed the story from Robic’s website…now that Robic is pulling safely away for the win.
WHAT THE WAS IT ALL ABOUT…it’s driving me nuts not knowing.

No Blue Ridge Mountains. Instead it’s the Appalachians, and this section a day or two from the finish looks pretty nasty:
RAAM crosses the Ohio River and enters West Virginia on US highway 50 and starts a series of climbs through the Appalachian Mountains. As the road narrows, it climbs over the Eastern Divide at 3000 feet above sea level, then climbs again to the ominously named Mt. Storm before dropping into Maryland. Some of the most intense grades of the entire race are found on scenic US route 40 in the forty miles between Cumberland and Hancock. The fourth of these climbs scales Sideling Hill, climbing 1000 feet in about two miles.
