Anyone know where or when the blue Trek 9.0 TTX that was in this month’s triathlete magazine can be found? I know it said it was an '08, so I assume it won’t be out until this fall. Also, will Trek sell just framesets as I’d like to get my hand on one of them.
That’s a good question. Apparently the mold is the same, just different level carbon? Maybe a touch heavier? I guess comparable to the Seduza or Caliente compared to the Lucero.
I think the 9.9 frameset is $3,000 which is steep. If the blue 9.0 were closer to $2,000 I would definitely consider it and it would certain give the Lucero, P2C and the B2 a run for their money.
The completed bike is supposed to retail around 3,000 with 105 components. I was thinking 2 or less for the frame also might be worth it. Plus, it’s just a plain good looking bike, IMO.
This is good news, another well engineered bike at $3000.

Here’s the best I can do from the magazine. Supposedly it is the same frame/geometry as the 9.5 and 9.9 with a slightly different carbon.
