Trek TT Fork?

What’s up guys? Yes, I would have to agree with CG on his newbie thoughts. They should provide a class at the bike shop for new riders. Currently, LBS makes sure you know how to use the bike, why not see if they can actually ride it too. I know on Ragbrai, they had you watch a safety video called “Ride Right” so you wouldn’t be the cause of accidents. It is surprising to see how many people fail to understand the concept of “on your left”. In many local tri’s, it appears that many newbies failed to take bike etiquette.

Now my real question: “why did Trek move the quick release posts on the fork from the front of the fork on the 2002 model to the middle on the 2003 model, and now back to the front on the 2004?”

.

sorry I don’t understand the question at all.

I’ve heard it theorized that you get better handling by moving more of the fork surface area behind an invisible line connecting the dropouts and the head tube. This would seem to be corroborated by the fact that the QR/Kinesis Carbonaero with forward dropouts has a reputation for handling better in windy conditions than the old Profile BDC. It’s worth noting that Profile’s newer fork, the ACD, has forward dropouts.
