Dura-Ace SRM wireless should work since shimano press-fit bearings work w/ bb90. Waiting for my SC, too – 45 days out. Quarq w/ fsa or sram cranks should also work w/ bb90. I heard rotor cranks may also work with shimano press-fit bearings in bb90 – though not confirmed.
anybody know if the an older DA wired SRM is compatible with the Speed Concept? I know the BB should be fine - I just know there has been talk of clearance issues.
Yeah and that’s the leading option if/should/etc get a speed concept.
The query about the SRM is due to me having a Wired SRM pro (Octalink) already, and I want to have a plan B should I not be able to swing another $2k - since Wired DA SRMs are going for a much more reasonable amount.
I think that only the DA SRMs from right before the wireless ones came out would work. They changed the white cover on them so that Levi and others could use them on their Treks. I believe that the white cover tapers to a thinner width by the chainrings to allow it not to rub the frame. Buying a used one, you should be able to tell by looking at the pictures of the cover.
You wouldn’t order either of those BBs. You would need a press fit bottom bracket for BB90. If you bought a speed concept with Sram it would come with it.
