Just wondering if anyone else got screwed by the weather on the east coast trying to get to USAT age group nationals?
I got stuck at dules overnight on thursday after 3hrs of delays out of Pitt (got to dules by midnight) then almost got kicked off my new flight from Newark, NJ to BTV the next day due to delays and overbooking.
Dules was a nightmare! The customer service line was like 100+ people long for hours! I saw lots of other guys/gals trying to make it and hope that they did…but I heard a lot of pretty bad scenarios- like fly to boston and then drive up and try to make packet pickup…
I ended up calling a friend at 2am in the morning and having her come get me, and I flew out of reagan the next morning. Made it to burlington by 3pm on friday, put my bike together in a parking lot.
Next time I save more time-off from work for this event, and drive or give myself 3 days not 1 day. Lessons learned!
