That’s a bit overstated…especially with regard to the Zoot Training Bag. Either that or I don’t want to be anywhere near you on day 5 of your 10 day vacation!
And ok…I got it that you’re frugal. I am too…I’ve had the same transition duffel for 15 years or so…big yellow Marine Corps emblem and all…BUT…
I need a pack now that I can slap on my back and ride to the local races. I don’t plan on driving to them. And I need room for race gear, as well as some cycling training gear too, as i plan to get a ride in after the races. I tried the duffel with arms through the handle loops…that’s not too safe with the bag swinging all over the place. That and I want something at least minimally protective for this damn $170 aero helmet. I’m not tossing it in the duffel just to get knocked around by sweaty shoes, goggles, and wetsuit.
Sometimes old-school is…well…just stupid.
