Transgender triathletes in NYTimes article

Does anyone remember an elite female triathlete named Cannon? Sort of rings a bell.

I like his bike.

Now we know at least one person who has signed up for IM 70.3 Pocono Mountains.

Pretty cool story actually, but I kept wondering if he was now having a harder time pissing in his bike shorts.

Thats awesome. Good for him for doing what he needs to do to be happy. He’s racing in a tough group so I hope he’s been training.

I can’t copy/paste from the article on my ipad, but it says you can’t compete until 2 years post SRS. (sexual reassignment surgery). Are they stoned? I put my papers in for my legal name change and in 3mths I’ll be Nova … As soon as I get my name change, I’ll change my gender marker on my license. After that, they won’t know I was ever male. Unless they grab my junk prior to the race, ewwww!

Ill be a year before I can race, but I’ll be chicking guys all over the place.

Probably thinking of Colleen Cannon though I doubt she has anything to do with this thread other than a last name.

Don’t confuse us ;0)
