Amazing feat, but the numbers are weird.
She averaged 84 miles a day, and spent up to 8 hours a day in the water, and as little as 25 minutes. Even if every day was 8 hours, she had to cover 10 plus miles an hour.
Are we talking “tail current” or am I missing something.?
I remember going to an open water swim clinic several years ago that was hosted by a former English Channel record holder. She was asked about some of these ocean crossing swims and she said that the “shark cage” absolutely aided the swimmer. Help or no help, its a long way to swim.
Total badass. I hope I’m that tough at her age.
