Traithlon and Blood Cancer awareness

This does have to do with triathlon if you give me a second. I will bet you did not know that this month is Blood Cancer Awareness Month. You probably do know that next month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. After all everything has a pink ribbon on it. As a blood cancer survivor, it is my duty to bring awareness to a disease that will kill about 52,310 people this year. It will kill more women than breast cancer. Yet, you didn’t even know this. My wife has created a page that talks about this and how we are bringing awareness. I am teaming with my doctor and another patient to participate in a triathlon at the end of the month to help raise awareness. Please visit my wife’s site and read about blood cancers.

Great job getting the word out there. That’s a wonderful idea to form a relay to do a triathlon. Good luck with it.

Bill,

Glad to hear about you kicking cancer’s ass and living to tell about it. I did my first 1/2 Im with TNT last month, and am finally wrapping up my campaign. Our little team raised about $90,000 I am happy to report.

Congratulations on a successful fund raising campaign. Thank you for helping me fight against this horrible disease.

Thanks for the heads-up. I actually wasn’t aware of this, and I try to stay pretty keen on these sorts of things. Thank you.

Thanks for helping to raise awareness. In the spring of this year I finished my battle with acute bilinage leukemia (both ALL and AML). It was two years of hell but the treatments were successful. I am back racing again and have done 8 triathlons this year and am doing a Half IM this coming weekend.

Good luck with your triathlon and raising awareness about this disease! Congratulations on winning your battle!

Enjoy and Livestrong!

Congratulations and good luck on your HIM. I just did the prairieman this past weekend. I had a lot of fun even though it was extremely hot.
