I’m finalizing my '05 racing schedule and atempting to create a training program to get the job done. I end the season with two big events: my first half IM (Pigman) and my first marathon (Twin Cities). I have two challenges: combining marathon and triathlon training and working several other events into my training regimen.
I am racing in 10 events total over four months, all of which I would like to take seriously. How do I work them into the mix? What do I need to concentrate on in the 38 days between Pigman and Twin Cities?
For example, my biggest challenge will be a three week stint in August. Turtleman Triathlon (1/27/6), 8 days later is Pigman (1.2/56/13.2), then 6 days later is 24 hours of Afton (mtn bike race, distance dependant on how fast I go).
