Anyone here ever lived, or trained much in Tuscaloosa? How is the riding? Are there many quiet roads? Is it easy to get out of town on your bike? What would be the best part of town to live for riding from the house? It looks like the university has a nice pool with decent hours, would this be the best place to swim?

My first experience at tuscaloosa during collegiate nationals, we got out of the school van, and some lady goes “Are you guys models?”

My only experience was at collegiate nations too. I only got to ride an hour a few days before the race. It sucked for the first 15 min when us dumbasses were riding along a busy 2 lane highway with no bike lane at rush hour. But once we got off that and found a back road, it was beautiful. Not a car in sight and winding through the woods.
Also went on a run, ended up running through some ghetto area…it was interesting…
