Training Camps: what are some cool ones in North America?

In the past I’ve treated races as vacations but this coming year I’m going to race a bit less and, instead, I’m going to give training camps a shot. I’m signed up for a swim camp at The Race Club over Thanksgiving (and will likely be one of the slowest people to grace their pool, lol). I’d like to do one camp every two to three months thereafter preferably at a cool venue.

Suggest away

I have been to Open Sky Training in upstate NY twice and like it a lot

The Cycling House. Top notch outfit. They pick you up and drop you off from the airport, and take care of anything in between. I did the Arizona and Wisconsin camps in 2013. AZ was great, WI was really good. Friend did Arizona and Crested Butte- she loved them both.

I also made a buddy on the AZ trip. We roomed together in WI, and have done 2 Asheville trips together since. TCH was a great experience all around for me. May do another in 2015.

Team Mossman Triathlon Club in central Connecticut (www.teammossman.com) does a training camp in Lake Placid every June about a month before IM USA. They always have good speakers, massage therapists and a mechanic onsite if you have any issues.

Thank you for this referral. I’m considering doing an onsite training camp in Lake Placid before the race. I’m in the flatlands of Florida and I don’t want to see the Keane descent for the first time on race day. I also found the spinervals camps. Are there any others that people have done that I can add to my research?

Thanks -
